Nostalgia

I was so very happy to find this site. For the record I doubt if any might remember me but I am trying just in case. I attended ESC..for, as I recall, 4 years. Two in "Junior" school and two in "senior school"..These were among the happiest days of my life...(I am now 59)....My family and I left Egypt for Cyprus in August 1956....I have not been back but would love to. I have vivid memories of the entire layout, from the squash/tennis courts to the soccer fields to "everything". Whilst just a "plebe" in Senior school I do recall being in "Granville" house and my house master was Mr.Woolf...I remember "all" the staff. I wonder what ever happened to Mlle. Marie?
How can one forget crusty Mr. Beard??? My one major "caning" came at the hands of Mr. Woolf..I would like to take the liberty of listing some names/faces that still stick with me to this day...Remamber I was a "day" boy but any light shed on who/where will be appreciated. I do believe Kardouche and Tawakol were in higher forms than me. What great atheletes they were! personally, I was really terrible but always got kudos for "EFFORT"....anyhow here goes:

EMANUEL ARNI (HEAD BOY)?..."DICKY" MOATES...AMERICAN WHO ADAPTED TO ''ALL'' THE BRITISH SPORTS?...ROYSTON HEATH? RICKY ALI? LINDA WILLIAMS? (BIG CRUSH THERE!LOL)...SANDY COOK????

Do y''all recall the end of term when it was "unofficially" open season on the prefects? I could not believe the pic. of Ms.Sanderson, and dear Ms. Savage!!!!!

Anyhow I sincerely hope this board is not just for the seniors and that I have not imposed...Finally I could not be prouder than to have attended ESC...by far the best of the big Three in Egypt. Of course I am biased.

Regards to all and I hope I will hear "something". I think I will take in a Movie at the "NORMANDIE" tonight!!!lol....Fred
