My parents were friendly with the Labibs (Menem was
a top eye specialist and his English wife Pamela a
Doctor). They had one daughter, Camelia, and two
sons Taher and the younger was I think called
Monem).
I realise this reply to your correspondence is about
20 years too late! But I have only just looked up my
old school, Gezira Preparatory School. I hope the
building is still there. I have yet to return to
Egypt, having left in 1962l
