Nicholas, I was most pleased to see your message on the esc.obog.site. I am retired and have been for some years. How about you? Though it is rumoured that academics, taking the lead from clerics, hardly ever do!

Jackie, my wife, and I had lunch with Margaret Sanderson in Canterbury last Sunday week. She is still very smart, entertaining and as gracious as ever - a most remarkable woman.
