Hello again
by Amr Barrada

Hello again Charles

I apologize myself for not writing sooner. I have
a foto that's very similar to the you describe,
but you're not in it. It was probably taken
around 1951. Everyone had his or her own desk.
The boys appearing in the picture are clive
gibson, hagenar, sherif rifaat, lutfi sherbini,
lawrence pritchard, blackmore, and myself, and
some of the girls from front to back are mary
woodliffe, charlotte chapman-andrews, gida hayes,
and hoda marie.

I have several other pictures. I can identify
most of the people in them, such as clive gibson,
tony finn, george vayanos, freddy saad, aris
dimopoulos (who used to teach me how to swear in
greek), joe buhagiar, psaltis, capridis, mickey
sharpe, eddie eid, moussaad, and lots of women,
including laila thabet, tahira hussain, amira
taher, my cousin zizette, nadia hamdi, and honore
de boucher. Everybody looks so young and smiling.
Those were happy times, unless you were caned by
beard or horrocks (we use to call him "horrors")
or a prefect (one of them used to say "We shall
not tolerate any more insubordination" with a
loud booming voice). Perhaps we can puruade
mohamed hamza to cllect many of these pictures
and make a book out of them.

The south of england is far from minnesota, where
I have been for 45 years. At 66 I'm still going
strong, treating people who have emotional
problems. Are you still working?

Ciao. Amr Barrada
